Publishers

Publishers are partners who capture EasyAccess consent and optionally publish to the Privacy Network.

Note: Phase 1 establishes authorization only. Personal Privacy Networks are not created, and no network participation occurs, until Phase 2.

Outcome: You’re enabling users to enroll in Personal Privacy Networks.

Add EasyAccess consent language to your existing consent flow—no infrastructure required.

What you need:

  • An existing consent management flow (you already have this)
  • The ability to update your Privacy Statement and Terms of Service

What you don’t need:

  • No new infrastructure
  • No APIs to integrate
  • No code changes beyond updating consent text

Phase 2: Publish to Privacy Network (When Ready)

Outcome: Publishing captured consents enables Personal Privacy Networks (PPNs) to be created and is how publishers receive credit for participation in the Privacy Network Exchange.

Deploy WebShield components to publish captured consents to the Privacy Network Exchange.

Prerequisites:

  • Docker host environment
  • S3-compatible object storage

Components you’ll deploy:

  • EA Consent Issuer — Mints signed Verifiable Credentials
  • EA Consent Delta Writer — Writes to Delta tables
  • Delta Sharing Server — Publishes to Privacy Network participants
